Today during the assembly, I take the responsibility of my MST’s class again it wasn’t hard as much as I thought it would be. I learned how to manage students during the assembly, and I gained many useful techniques. This is my first time in teaching practice where I take such a big responsibility. I believe it was an excellent chance to learn something new.
The most exciting incident today was teaching my sixth lesson, and it was an English session. The successful part was applying differentiation in English for the first time. I enjoyed teaching today especially when I observed that my students were able to finish their tasks correctly. Lesson after lesson I realized the importance of differentiation and how it makes teaching process effective in students’ performance as well as the teacher’s performance.
Also, I had a chance to see the termly reports for my students and understand the process of preparing them. I noticed when my MST was handing out students’ reports they were excited and worried at the same time. What caught my attention was a letter sent with reports and requiring parents to attend a meeting to discuss their student's reports. I think it is a good idea to coordinate a meeting directly after parents received their children’s results. In my opinion, the communication between families and teachers will bring positive changes. However, my MST complained that low percentage of parents attended these types of meetings and she wished if all parents were present.
