Day 6

It is the end of my second week with grade three, and today I taught my second math lesson which was about time problems. The day was similar to daily routine nothing much happened I attended the assembly, classes, playtime, bus duty, and taught two sections.

The most interesting thing was working with students on making the skeleton poster and helping them to organize parts in the right place. I figured out that I need to increase my science vocabulary because there were many words I haven’t know until today. I get feedback from my MST about my teaching session, and it was similar to the previous observations good in most areas with only one or two excellent. I had mixed feeling upset, unsatisfied, confused and of course sad because I didn’t reach my aims in being excellent in all areas. I decided to set with my monitor school teacher and asked her politely why I didn’t get excellent and what I need to do to move from G to E in the evaluation form.

At the end of the day, I asked my MST about the evaluation and she told me that I’m close to excellent, but I need to show professional growth. I tried to keep my thoughts positive and except her view, and I reminded myself “if it doesn’t challenge you, it won’t change you.” I arrived home and start studying for the exam in tomorrow morning hoping it will be better than today’s observation.
