It was my first teaching session, and I was prepared and excited to teach because I just like teaching and I arrived early because I was going to teach the first period. The lesson went very well and beyond what I expected, and I was proud when I heard the first comment from my monitor school teacher: “This was an excellent lesson.” Before starting the current teaching practice, the initial goal I aimed for was to reach excellence, and I think I am in the right path now. I am a perfectionist person even if I heard a great compliment I still thinking about areas I need to improve and that what I wrote about in my first post-lesson reflection.
Another important thing today was observing my peer who practiced teaching in the same classroom as me, and it was interesting to notice differences and similarities between her teaching style and mine. After her teaching session, we discussed her performance, and I gave her my feedback, and I am looking forward to the second peer observation tomorrow.
Also, today my MST advise me to use the resources room to prepare for my next lesson if need to make cards and posters instead of printing from other places. I found her advice helpful because it will reduce the cost of materials I need for my teaching sessions. Based on this, I went to the resource room, and I met the lady who is responsible, and she showed me the procedures I have to follow whenever I want to use this room. After that, I spend an hour preparing materials I need for tomorrow teaching session, and the most interesting thing was finding the paper cutter tool because it saved my time.
