Day 17:

Today I was prepared to teach my sixth, and the last lesson in this teaching practice and the lesson went smoothly and successfully. Nothing bothered me during my teaching session except the technology because some websites worked in the school then suddenly it didn’t work which put me in an unwanted situation, but I always have a second plan.

On the other hand, the most important thing I did today was sorting 90 books in different boxes and cupboards. The class was a mess that why I decided with the other student teacher to organize students’ books and make the classroom more organized. I thought it would not be that hard, but unfortunately, it was physically tough because it required a lot of work and I had to stay after the school day to finish the work. However, when I saw the final result, I was satisfied, and I felt it worth the effort that we put in organizing the books area.

I think it is an excellent experience for me as a trainee teacher to see the differences before and after organizing the classroom and I had not experienced a lot in improving my classroom management strategies which I considered as a part of my progress this teaching practice.

Another important incident that affected me today was when I met a young lady who works as a monitor bus even, she had a degree in teaching English, and I felt bad after I heard her story because after studying for four years in college, she can’t use her degree. After my colleague and I listen to her situation, we tried to find someone who can help her in fixing her residence permit as soon as possible.
