Curriculum Units
During my seven weeks with the fourth grade my monitor school teacher and my colleague and I covered several units such as animal life cycles, adaptation and survival, the health of the living things, and ecosystems.
My monitor school teacher has a routine at the start of any new unit which is writing new vocabulary on the board and discuss them with the students before beginning any lesson.
My colleague and I created two displays the first one included all the new vocabulary during the first term while the second display presented students work after teaching them about the camouflage. Also, after the ecosystems unit, students created projects about different types of ecosystems, and we organized them outside the classroom.
One of the most interesting theme was the science week where students taught each other about different scientific experiences , and the videos above are showing some examples.
The videos above show students' projects about different types of ecosystems which were the last unit in the first term curriculum. Students created these projects by using shoe boxes and placed animals and plants that can live in the chosen environment.
