Through EPC 2903 practicum course, I had an opportunity to experience a new concept called personal teaching philosophy. There are many educators and scientists who wrote about their own teaching philosophy. In this part, I will present quotes from the best teaching philosophies I have ever read.

Noam Chomsky

"Education must provide the opportunities for self-fulfillment; it can at best provide a rich and challenging environment for the individual to explore, in his own way".

"Education is what remains after one has forgotten what one has learned in school".

Albert Einstein

"The principal goal of education in the schools should be creating men and women who are capable of doing new things, not simply repeating what other generations have done".

Jean Piaget

" The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education" .

Martin Luther King

    Personal Teaching Philosophy

After I become familiar with the process of writing a personal teaching philosophy. I had a great chance to write my own teaching philosophy where I reflect on my beliefs and views about teaching and learning.
